Kendra McMillan is a Senior Policy Advisor at the American Nurses Association Enterprise in the Department of Nursing Practice and Work Environment. As a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Public Health, Kendra’s clinical work has centered on community centered education and the improvement of women’s health and the health and well-being of mothers and babies. Since joining the ANA as a Senior Policy Advisory, Kendra is engaged in work on safe staffing, COVID-19 education, supporting the work of the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing, and Co-leading Project Firstline, an Infection Prevention and Control partnership grant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Kendra is passionate about the power of Nursing and Nursing’s impact on the delivery of safe, quality healthcare and overall improvement of the population’s health.
